OFFSHORE SAILING

Sydney By Sail are excited to announce coastal sailing adventures on board a brand new luxury Hunter 38. This yacht is beautifully finished and well appointed with state of the art equipment making it ideal for offshore sailing. The Hunter 38 was voted 'Boat of the Year' by Cruising World Magazine for its overall performance, handling and comfort. It is an impressive looking yacht with many new design features to make it one of the fastest hulls made by Hunter.

The saloon area is light, bright and airy with ample space for 6-8 people around a beautiful high gloss dinette. Solid teak hand rails down either side and a stainless pole in the galley area make movement below decks when underway safe and easy. Above decks there is plenty of room in the cockpit with all control lines leading aft for ease of use. The full length sun bimini cover provides excellent shade for those long sun drenched trips. Having the chartplotter and remote VHF radio located at the helm makes navigating a breeze.

The trips are run over 4-5 days and cover a distance of approximately 420 nautical miles.

Life on board is never dull as there is always something to learn or interesting to see including dolphins swimming off the bow, whales breaching, spotting the many trawler boats making their runs at night and star gazing. The watch system ensures that all on board participate in the daily crewing duties, both by day and night, meal preparation, sail trimming, navigating and steering.

Offshore sailing is one of the greatest challenges and is extremely rewarding. It's not for the faint hearted either, conditions at times can be rough! But if you are looking for a new experience along with gaining sea miles for your next qualification then this is your ticket.

The yacht comes complete with:

" AYF Category 2 safety equipment
" Life Raft
" Raymarine ST 60 Instruments
" Raymarine E80 Chartplotter at helm
" Raymarine Smart Controller interfaced with 15" TV below decks
" BOSE Entertainment system with CD/DVD player
" 2 Private enclosed cabins
" Fully enclosed head with separate hot and cold shower
" Gourmet galley with fridge and freezer
" Sun Bimini & Dodger

All trips are subject to the weather. In the event of adverse winds the trip would either be postponed or substituted with an alternate destination.
